A DRIVER of a small hatchback was airlifted to Melbourne with critical injuries after a head-on collision with a large tipper truck last Tuesday on Leitchville-Kerang Road.

The vehicles collided at approximately 5:40am on October 29 between Mead and Dobsons roads.

The driver of the hatchback is recovering from non-life threatening injuries in hospital.
