Australian citizens can access enrolment services at the Victorian Electoral Commission website, to enrol for the first time or check and update details.
Mr Barber urges eligible residents to engage with the election process and make their vote count.
“Voting is a fundamental aspect of democratic participation and ensures that our local elected representation is reflective of our community,” he said.
“By voting conscientiously, individuals contribute to effective decision-making and hold elected officials accountable for their promises and actions.
“I urge residents to consider representatives who align with their values to ensure that the council addresses the diverse needs of our community, and we continue to operate with inclusiveness and accountability.”
Enrolled voters will receive their ballot pack in early October, which must be mailed or delivered by 6pm on 25 October 2024.
