Mallee MP urges for Coalition government

SWAN Hill residents have seen their gas prices go up by 34 per cent and their household electricity bills go up by 32 per cent.

Mortgage repayments are up 41 per cent, insurance 33 per cent, income tax 25 per cent and rents 15 per cent.

Labor and the Greens’ aggressive renewables-only energy policy is a wrecking ball through farming communities and the Australian economy, driving up the cost of food, the cost of doing business, and everything at the supermarket.

The Nationals in government will deliver you immediate cost-of-living relief, halving the fuel tax, saving you 25 cents on every litre, or around $14 per tank, when you fill up the family car.

We will deliver up to $1200 in tax relief, providing real help for workers. We will lower the cost of medicines to $25.

A big-spending Labor-Greens government means higher inflation, higher interest rates, and higher costs across the economy.

Australia’s inflation has been higher on average than any major advanced economy. Our disposable incomes have fallen further than any country in the developed world.

Under Labor, Australia and the local economy have gone backwards.

The Swan Hill bridge replacement project remains my priority, but Labor has seriously delayed progress.

Labor’s senseless water buybacks to win votes in Adelaide are wrecking our local irrigation economy.

Cultural heritage restrictions at Lake Tyrrell and the shutdown of the Mallee Rally show how Labor’s policies sideline local interests.

On Monday, I hosted Shadow Minister for Indigenous Australians, Jacinta Nampijinpa Price, at Mount Arapiles in Mallee to launch our cultural heritage policy that puts the national interest and certainty first, and ensures public land is for all Australians.

Farmers’ rights are being railroaded by Labor-enabled mining and energy cowboys – including the Victorian Labor Government’s VNI-West project sowing tragic, deep division and uncertainty in our communities.

The Swan Hill emergency department, which I fought hard for and secured $30 million through the former Coalition government, stands as a testament to the proper investment and certainty I promise to achieve, with your help, through a Dutton-Littleproud Government.
