AFL CENTRAL MURRAY TRIBUNAL 

Dylan Smillie will be free to take his place in the ruck when Tyntynder’s season resumes against Swan Hill in the coming weeks, despite being found guilty at the tribunal on Wednesday night.

Smillie was found guilty of intentionally or carelessly engaging in rough conduct against an opponent following the Dogs’ round seven win over Nyah-Nyah West United, when he tackled Demons’ midfielder Joel Walsh.

As a result of an investigation, Smillie was referred straight to the Independent Tribunal, where he was found guilty and handed a suspended two-week sentence.

The penalty will remain in place for the remainder of the 2021 season, including the finals, and will be added to any penalty should he transgress again this season.
