MIDDLEBROOK RETURNS

SEASON 2022 is looking up for Balranald, with the club announcing a handful of new signings last weekend.

Former Best & Fairest winner Ryan Middlebrook will return to the Roos, having played 11 senior games with Robinvale-Euston this season.

Travelling to Balranald with Middlebrook will be his brother Shane, along with 2019 Sunraysia Football League Reserves Best & Fairest Braeden Price and talented youngster Seth Connell, all of whom are expected to slot into Balranald’s Seniors line-up.

Their signing comes hot on the heels of the addition of Jydon Neagle as co-coach alongside Ben Mahon for next season.

CACCA’S BACK

NNW United have started looking towards next season, with the return of a local gun, as well as the re-signing of two key playmakers.

After playing for the Demons against Lake Boga in Round 10 this season, Zac Caccaviello will return to his home club full time in 2022, having played with Tyabb in the MPNFL this season and with Chelsea Heights in the Southern FL 2nd Division in 2019.

In a further boost for NNW United’s finals hopes next season, this year’s Senior’s Best & Fairest Runner-Up Brady Davidson and running half back Jaydyn Stirling have both re-committed, and will once again don the red and blue.

ULTIMA HOPPING INTO 2022

THE Ultima Football Club have pulled off a recruiting coup, signing dual Woorinen premiership defender Jamie Nicholas for next season.

Nicholas, who also won Woorinen’s Seniors Best & Fairest in 2017, is regarded as one of the best intercept defenders in the Central Murray Football Netball League and his addition is sure to boost the Roos defensive capabilities under new coach Kyle Symons.

The Roos also announced the signing of Tyntynder pair Kade Benfield and Lachlan Edwards for next season.
