Koondrook-Barham appoints Darren Troy as senior coach

KOONDROOK-Barham has appointed a new senior coach, with former Geelong and South Adelaide footballer Darren Troy set to take the reins at the Raiders.

Troy comes to the club after 46 games with Geelong in the VFL-AFL and 74 games with South Adelaide in the SANFL between 1983 and 1992.

Troy then captained-coached Geelong Football League club Leopold following his time at South Adelaide and will bring a wealth of coaching experience to Koondrook-Barham.

Troy’s first game in charge will be the Raiders’ round 9 encounter with NNW United, with the new coach missing Saturday’s home game against Swan Hill.

Troy takes over from the outgoing Aaron Collins, who was removed from the position after leading Koondrook-Barham to one win and five losses in his first year in charge.
