Key girls’ under-14 contest under lights

THE final round of the Central Victoria Football League Girls Under 14 competition will take place on Friday night under lights at Alan Garden Reserve, with all eyes set to be focused on one game.

With Tyntynder having already qualified for next weekend’s grand final, the attention will be firmly centred on the Swan Hill and Birchip-Watchem match-up, with the winner set to go through to face Tyntynder in the decider.

Both the Swans and Bulls find themselves on three wins and one loss and, with both teams a game and percentage clear of fourth-placed Woorinen, the winner will secure their spot for the following weekend’s big match.

Before the Swans and Bulls do battle, however, there will be a game of no less significance, as Sea Lake-Nandaly and the Warra Blues face off, both teams still looking for their first wins of the competition.

The last home-and-away match of the season will start at 7.50pm, with Tyntynder to play and Woorinen.
