KERANG’S Bradlee Pay has had a bittersweet finish to his season, with the Blues midfielder taking out his club’s seniors best and fairest recently.

Pay polled 67 votes to finish eight votes clear of runner-up Josh Nitschke, with Marty Kelly, Nick Stagg and Lachlan Ross filling the minor placings. Pay took home the award despite missing the Blues’ 97-point win over Swan Hill in round 18 with an achilles injury that looks set to keep him out of Kerang’s finals campaign.

In the reserves, Cody Tuohey took home Kerang’s best and fairest after polling 84 votes, with Nick Pay finishing runner-up on 44 votes.

Bohden McKnight won the club’s Under 17.5 best and fairest after polling 79 votes, with Cody Makeham 22 votes behind as runner-up.

Kerang’s A Grade/A Reserve netball best and fairest was claimed by Courtney Wright (50 votes), who finished 10 votes clear of runner-up Tahni Clark. Phoebe Hall won Kerang’s B Grade best and fairest by two votes from Emily Bortolotto, while Jess Searle was the women’s football best and fairest winner after polling 70 votes, with Sarah Ride runner-up on 43 votes.SKINNER CLAIMS DEMON’S B&F

JARROD Skinner has claimed his second Pat Phelan Medal after winning Nyah-Nyah West United’s best and fairest recently.

The former coach returned to his home club this year after spending the past three seasons (2018, 2019, 2021) with Woorinen, where he was a member of the Tigers 2018 and 2019 senior premierships.

The midfielder-forward outpolled attacking half-back Jaydyn Stirling to win his second club best and fairest – named after champion Nyah rover Pat Phelan, who himself won the award 10 times between 1954 and 1969.

The reserves football best and fairest for the Demons was won by veteran Ash Thompson, with Jarrod’s brother Marcus Skinner finishing as runner-up, while Charlie Boulton took home the Under 17.5 best and fairest ahead of Ethan Curran.

In the netball, defender Matika Mitchell claimed her first A Grade best and fairest for the Demons, with Denise Snyder (second) and young gun Bridie Curran (third) – while the A Reserve best and fairest was won by Jess Whitfield, with Shania Kelly named runner-up.SHANNON TOP RAIDER

KOONDROOK-Barham’s Jack Shannon has taken out the Raiders’ seniors best and fairest for season 2022, after a break out year for the half back-midfielder.

Shannon’s win was no surprise after being named among the Raiders better players in eleven of his sixteen matches – with the former junior Raider holding off key position defender-forward Max Baldissera to claim the win.

The reserves best and fairest was taken out by Ashley Molin, with veteran Raider Dean McGowan finishing as runner-up, while Eli Boyd claimed Koondrook-Barham’s Under 17.5 best and fairest, with Joshua McMahon runner-up.

In the netball, Rach Robertson capped off a difficult season for the Raider by winning the A Grade best and fairest, with last year’s winner Tlarnee Lake finishing as runner-up, while Lily Molin claimed victory in the A Reserve award ahead of Chelsea Lowry.
