COHUNA coach Neil Bradley said his team couldn’t be better prepared for a shot at winning their first Central Murray senior premiership.

The Kangas escaped with no serious injuries from Saturday’s 21 point win over Kerang in the second semi-final, and would have a full list to choose from when they take on either the Blues or Woorinen in a fortnight.

Bradley acknowledged the lessons that were learned following his team’s 66-point defeat to Kerang back in Round 8.

“When we played Kerang earlier in the season, we weren’t prepared – but I think now some 12 or 13 weeks down the track we were far more ready for them and were in a much better place to take them on,” Bradley said after Saturday’s win.

“We are a lot better side than we where back then and I think everyone could see on the weekend what we were trying to do.

“We’re confident that we have the team and capability to get the job done in a fortnight’s time.

“The players have knuckled down over the last few weeks – there’s quite a few players in our side who have played in flags at other clubs and they know what’s required to get the job done on grand final day.”

Bradley said having a full list to choose from was a bonus.

“There were a few boys that were a bit banged up and sore, but no serious injuries thankfully,” he said.

“The week off will be perfect for those guys to just freshen up and hit the grand final full of running – it just gives us the luxury of a couple of weeks of really good preparation.”
