Riley Hird makes a huge tackle inside Cohuna’s forward 50 on Brandon Hayes, which results in a free kick. Hird’s centering ball ends up in the hands of Tom Toma, who goals and extends Cohuna’s lead to eight points.

10 min – Cohuna 5.8.38 lead Kerang 3.12.30

An unlucky Kerang toe poke goes out on the full right when Kerang are pressing. Joel Helman’s long ball inside the forward 50 comes off the pack into the hands of Jack Donat, who kicks truly with a right foot snap to put the Kangas 14 points in front.

14 min – Cohuna 6.8.44 lead Kerang 3.12.30

Nick Stagg receives a downfield free kick after a teammate is dumped after kicking the ball forward. Stagg’s set shot misses, but the Blues turn the ball over on the kick in, with Stagg again marking – this time from directly in front – before slotting a much-needed goal and bringing the margin back to just seven points.

26 min – Cohuna 6.10.46 lead Kerang 4.13.37

With Cohuna leading by nine points late in the game, Tom Toma runs back with the flight of the ball to take a massive pack mark before kicking the matchwinning goal.
