First quarter

18th minute – Jack Daglish gets taken high in the middle of the ground and quickly handballs off to Bryce Curnow. Curnow’s long bomb from centre wing clears the pack and lands in the lap of Troy Coates, who goes back and kicks the Blues’ third goal, giving them a 20-point lead. Kerang – 3.2.20 – Cohuna 0.0.0


Second quarter

2nd minute – Sean Hunter’s quick snap on goal misses, giving the Blues a 21-point lead. The Kangas then take the ball the length of the field, with Dylan Johnstone marking 45 metres out, before casually slotting the goal from 50 to put Cohuna on the board. Kerang 3.3.21 – Cohuna 1.0.6


Third quarter

2nd minute – Joel Helman is held at a stoppage, with Jack Donat taking the advantage and kicks to Dylan Johnstone in a one-on-one with Brandon Hayes. Johnstone kicks the first goal of the game at the Pritchard Street end of the ground. Kerang 3.6.24 – Cohuna 3.4.22

20th minute – Jake Hammond takes an intercept mark inside his defensive 50, but his kick is turned over by Marty Kelly, who spots up Bryce Curnow. Mason Fehring then cannons into Curnow, giving away a 50-metre penalty and a certain goal. Kerang 4.8.32 – Cohuna 3.6.24

23rd minute – Dylan Johnstone is held by Michael Dalrymple in the ruck contest and receives a free kick. Goes back and goals, bringing the margin back to just two points. Kerang 4.8.32 – Cohuna 3.6.24


Fourth quarter

5th minute – Cohuna win the turnover in the middle of the ground, with the ball kicked in towards Ben Archard at centre half-forward. Archard handballs off to Jack Donat, who runs into the open goal but misses from 35 metres out. Kerang 4.9.33 – Cohuna 4.7.31

10th minute – Rylee Smith’s shot on goal falls short, with Cohuna eventually taking it the length of the field. The ball ends up in the hands of Jarrod Findlay. Findlay goals from 20 metres out and gives the Kangas the lead for the first time in the game. Cohuna 5.7.37 – Kerang 4.9.33

12th minute – From the restart, Ryan Gillingham wins the centre clearance and pumps the Blues deep into attack. The ball carries the pack and ends up with Rylee Smith, who dribbles one home off the outside of the boot to give Kerang back the lead. Kerang 5.9.39 – Cohuna 5.7.37

14th minute – Kerang win the ball at half-back and work it around by hand to Michael Dalrymple, who switches the play to Rylee Smith. Smith bombs the ball deep to Bronson Booth, who marks next to the behind post and then slots a goal with a check side kick into the wind. Kerang 6.9.45 – Cohuna 5.7.37

24th minute – With time ticking away, Tom Toma kicks Cohuna deep into attack. Jarrod Findlay is in the box seat to mark 15 metres out. Marty Kelly, running back with the flight, closes late and spoils Findlay, saving a certain goal. Kerang 6.10.46 – Cohuna 5.7.37
