The run home for football finals hopefuls

1ST: KERANG

RECORD: 14 wins, 0 losses

PERCENTAGE: 219.41

REMAINING MATCHES: BYE, Balranald (A), Woorinen (H)

A week of rest awaits Kerang, before they put their unbeaten record on the line against the second and third placed teams. The bye round comes at the right time for Kerang, but they will need to keep up their ferocity following a week off.

PREDICTED FINISH: 1st

2ND: BALRANALD

RECORD: 12 wins, 1 loss

PERCENTAGE: 201.99

REMAINING MATCHES: Lake Boga (A), Kerang (H), Swan Hill (A)

A round 17 clash against Kerang will be the must-watch match between first and second, but Balranald will need to run out the season with three more wins if they want to knock Kerang off their perch. Just one more win from the three remaining matches would likely ensure second position.

PREDICTED FINISH: 2nd

3RD: WOORINEN

RECORD: 10 wins, 3 losses

PERCENTAGE: 182.76

REMAINING MATCHES: Koondrook-Barham (A), Lake Boga (H), Kerang (A)

Woorinen will be eased into their final two games with a match against struggling Koondrook-Barham, before facing the ladder’s other bookend Kerang in their final game. A double chance still looks likely for the Tigers but Lake Boga and NNW United will be chasing.

PREDICTED FINISH: 3rd

4TH: LAKE BOGA

RECORD: 8 wins, 5 losses

PERCENTAGE: 117.75

REMAINING MATCHES: Balranald (H), Woorinen (A), Koondrook-Barham (H)

Coming into form at the right time, the Magpies face a tough next two rounds. A win against Balranald or Woorinen is imperative to holding fourth position. A win in their last round may be important for percentage.

PREDICTED FINISH: 6th

5TH: NNW UNITED

RECORD: 7 wins, 7 losses

PERCENTAGE: 130.41

REMAINING MATCHES: Tooleybuc-Manangatang (A), Mallee Eagles (H), BYE

With the bye in the final round, NNW United will be keen to wrap up a finals spot in the next two games. Faced with two sides without finals hopes, the Demons should get the job done but may have to rely on results to go in their favour.

PREDICTED FINISH: 5th

6TH: COHUNA KANGAS

RECORD: 7 wins, 6 losses

PERCENTAGE: 112.94

REMAINING MATCHES: Swan Hill (A), Tooleybuc-Manangatang (H), Mallee Eagles (A)

Cohuna will be looking to make amends for an up and down season. The Kangas could lock down a finals spot with a win against Swan Hill, if things go to plan in the final two rounds.

PREDICTED FINISH: 4th

7TH: SWAN HILL

RECORD: 7 wins, 6 losses

PERCENTAGE: 94.60

REMAINING MATCHES: Cohuna (H), Tyntynder (A), Balranald (H)

A tough run home for the Swans as they end the season against the second-placed Roos. A round 17 grudge match against Tyntynder could be a difference-maker for Swan Hill if they want to play on this year.

PREDICTED FINISH: 7th
