End of the line for Saints, Dogs

TOOLEYBUC-MANANGATANG v TYNTYNDER

TOOLEYBUC-Manangatang and Tyntynder’s 2023 campaigns will come to a close when the two teams clash at Manangatang tomorrow.

It’s been a year to forget for both clubs, entering the season with high expectations, and both falling well short of meeting them.

While injuries to key players for both teams can be considered key reasons for their disappointing seasons.

They will have plenty of work to do over the off-season to rebound in 2024.

Shane Foley is the latest to join Tooleybuc-Manangatang’s long injury list, with the defender set to miss the final game of the season with a broken collarbone.

The midfield battle should decide the outcome of this game, as will the battle between the key forwards, with the Saints Josh Williams and Bulldogs Jason Eagle both capable of kicking a bag if given plenty supply.

While Tooleybuc-Manangatang have lost their past six matches, including a 113-point defeat to Cohuna last Saturday, Tyntynder have at least been competitive against the top sides, and should get the job done tomorrow afternoon.

Tip – Tyntynder to win by 20 points.
