Good day to celebrate

THE Goodnight Tennis Club is set to host its 50th Easter tournament on Easter Saturday.

The club has also invited past players, participants and members of the original committee back to the courts to celebrate and reminisce over the past 50 years.

The tournament used to be a graded two-day event but Goodnight Tennis Club president Adam Gilbee said that due to numbers falling over the years, it was now more of a family fun day.

“We will take any sort of skill level and we will try and group them up together,” Mr Gilbee said.

The men’s and ladies’ doubles will start at 9am, while the mixed doubles will start at 11am. Cost of entry is $20 per player, which includes lunch.

There will also be a range of photos and memorabilia on display throughout the day.

People interested in playing, attending or just looking for more information should contact Adam Gilbee at agilbee@gmail.com.
