WATER has returned to the McCallum Street water fountain.
The attraction has brought life back to the median strip park after being turned off for more than a decade.
“The McCallum Street fountain is being brought back to life following recent infrastructure servicing, a risk assessment and appropriate signage installation,” Swan Hill Rural City Council director of infrastructure Svetla Petkova said.
“Council will be monitoring the fountain over the coming weeks to ensure that it is functioning as it should be.
“It will be great to see the fountain flowing and looking fantastic, once again.”
It’s understood the fountain was turned off during the drought when water restrictions were in force in 2009.
