Teddy treatment

STUDENT doctors from Monash University on placement in Swan Hill recently held a Teddy Bear Hospital session at Swan Hill Regional Library.

During the September school holidays, the medical students helped children familiarise themselves with healthcare environments and medical treatments.

They did this in a fun and interactive way with the Teddy Doctor to held children overcome their fear and anxiety towards hospitals and doctors.

On the day, the children took part in a pretend medical consultation and were encouraged to bring their own soft toy or teddy bear.
