MANY local businesses would be familiar with Kieran Foott’s smiling face, but now there’s a chance to see that face 12 months of the year.

The 58-year-old Swan Hill local works for NewsEra Swan Hill and has given the company’s clients with an unusual Christmas gift: a calendar of Mr Foott enjoying the various businesses.

Known for his weekly deliveries to businesses around town, this is the second year Mr Foott has taken time out from his busy schedule for a light-hearted photo shoot.

He told The Guardian the calendar had been well-received, and added the photo shoot was plenty of fun.

With colourful photography, the front promises a “killer” 2020 calendar and shows Mr Foott drinking plenty of coffee, putting his feet up, in his Christmas cheer and trying his hand at bowls.

“This is the second time I’ve done it, it’s not bad fun, everyone has a look,” Mr Foott said.

“I give one to each business…all the customers love it.”

Mr Foott said family and friends also received a copy.

“It’s a good Christmas present for them,” he said.

Of the 12 months, Mr Foott said the photo shoot for August was his favourite.

“I had a go at bowls, it was good fun.”

NewsEra manager Paul Pellegrino told The Guardian the calendar was Mr Foott’s own project, and a hit with the company’s clients.

“I’ve been there (NewsEra) for nearly 30 years, and Kieran has been here as long as I have,” Mr Pellegrino said.

“He’s the shed’s general manager…he’s a good worker, shows up on time, works hard five days a week and has never missed a day unless he’s told me.

“This is his project, he looks forward to it every year.”

Mr Pellegrino said he had secured a few calendars himself, one for work and one for home.

“I think it’s a good calendar this year, Kieran made it all up himself, it’s his idea, he does everything we just pay for it,” Mr Pellegrino said.

With the welcome reception, Mr Pellegrino said he couldn’t see a reason why there wouldn’t be a third edition coming around in 2021.
