The Pioneer Settlement, is one of Swan Hill’s beloved tourist destinations. The attraction is an immersive experience, providing visitors with a taste of Mallee life in the 1800s.
The focus is on educating present generations with the past, providing an incredible opportunity to experience the Murray’s River’s colourful history through the ages.
As you walk around the settlement experience more than 50 relocated and restored buildings, historic equipment, agricultural machinery and household items.
Interactive pioneer based activities are conducted daily, stop by the blacksmith’s workshop to see the craftsman at work, or have a pat with one of the resident nags as he pulls along his owner’s jinker cart.
