WITH a categorically disastrous season for the Balranald Football Netball Club’s
senior football squads nearly in the rear vision mirror, the club’s attention
now turns to the process of rebuilding.
“It’s been a long year,” club
secretary Jeff Mannix admitted.
It has been a rapid decline for the club,
which only three years ago took home the senior premiership.
Fast-forward to
this season, and with just one round left to play, it appears very likely
Balranald’s senior and reserve sides will go winless.
The senior boys
particularly struggled, starting their 2012 season with a 229 point belting in
round one and only managing to lose by less than 100 points twice throughout
year.
Mr Mannnix said the reversal was a result of the team’s significant
player turnover.
