Sodding good turnout

THE SYMBOLIC ‘turning of the sod’ was witnessed by 75 excited guests to welcome
renovations at the Moulamein Retirement Village Hostel on Saturday.

The
transformation of the hostel will see a 16-bed aged care facility completed by
mid 2014.

Hostel president Bob Crawford said modern and environmentally
friendly technology will be a feature of the centre, with geothermal heating and
cooling supported by solar panels.

Generous donations from Len Flottman and
Roy Doran (deceased) have made the renovation possible.
