THE annual Sun Centre two-day classic was held this week at Racecourse Bowls Club.
Now in its 20th year, the event saw 28 teams arrive in Swan Hill from across Victoria.
Representatives from Traralgon, Fish Creek, Donald, Rochester, Yallourn and Blackburn, as well as a local team from the Murray Mallee district, participated in the gruelling eight-game tournament.
Winners of the day were the local composite team of Pud Stephens, Graeme Smith and Noel Hender.
Another combination team of Phil Jennings, Tuppy Lewis and Mick Tempini were second, while Quentin Graham, Glenn Evans and John Ford were third.
Racecourse’s Tony Scott said bowlers commented on friendships that were created over the two days.
“A few teams have already lodged their entries for next year,” he said.
