THE ages-old tale of youth versus experience was played out when Lucy Martin and Julie Wardle met in the final of the Swan Hill Lawn Tennis Club’s ladies championships last Saturday morning.
Experience proved the decisive factor, with Wardle getting up for her 11th club title.
Both went on to play in the pennant semi-final. Wardle joined McCallum but they lost to Gray, while Martin’s McCrae overcame Curlewis.
