IT WAS just a normal Monday afternoon for one Swan Hill household until a car came crashing into their home.
The house on the corner of Coronation Avenue and Gray Street was damaged after a white Volkswagen crashed into it at about 4.50pm on Monday.
Swan Hill police say the driver of the vehicle, a 59-year-old Swan Hill woman, was headed north on Coronation Avenue toward Gray Street when she allegedly failed to give way to a second vehicle at the roundabout.
The woman “panicked”, veered to the left and accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake. This caused the vehicle to mount the curb, crash through the fence and into the house.
