MILDURA Senior Secondary College will take on the best school football team from the Echuca region after winning the Sun Country Cup in Swan Hill on Wednesday.
MSSC defeated St Mary MacKillop College Swan Hill in the grand final, with Swan Hill College, Kerang Technical High School, St Joseph’s College Mildura and Robinvale P-12 College making up the six-team competition.
The lightning premiership competition consisted of 20-minute games, with the grand final following a round robin.
St Mary MacKillop College coach Damien Hirst said the standard had been high, with MacKillop students Declan Quin and Brent Daniels and Swan Hill College’s Riley Brennan among the better players in the Years 10, 11 and 12 competition.
Mildura will now take on St Joseph’s College Echuca at Swan Hill on Tuesday week.
