IT WAS a wet, cold, early start for Woorinen’s youth girls team last Sunday.
The Tigers travelled to Eaglehawk, with rain falling consistently for most of the day.
After a solid warmup and a rousing rev up from assistant coach Alana Woodward, the Tigers warmed to the wet and cold conditions, slamming through four goals to Eaglehawk’s no score in the first quarter.
Chelsea Scott made a smooth transition to the forward line kicking two fantastic goals, with Sharni Ferrari and Donal Fellows both chipping in with a goal apiece.
Megan Williamson and Paynton Jolliffe made an immediate impact in their first game for the Tigers.
Williamson was like a terrier around the packs, her in-and-under work providing many opportunities for the outside runners.
