DIANE Millsteed stood out from the rest of the competition in this year’s ladies singles at the May Carnival.
The iconic Swan Hill Bowls Club event came to an end for another year yesterday, with Millsteed adding the event’s top ladies title to her club championship won earlier in the season.
The final act of the May Carnival was an all-Swan Hill affair with the host club’s Millsteed taking on fellow club member Roslyn Waldron after the pair won three preliminary matches to qualify for the final.
Millsteed and Waldron went head-to-head for 18 ends to decide a winner, but it was the former who was too good, taking out an emphatic 31-6 victory.
