Nully move into second

NULLAWIL jumped to second on the Golden Rivers Football League ladder thanks to a 41-point win against Wakool on Saturday.

Both the Maroons and the Hawks went into the game following Round 4 losses, and it was clear early on that both sides play a physical brand of footy.

The midfield had good match ups everywhere with Campbell Tully given the task on Nullawil dynamo Daniel Watts, while Hawks coach Locky Gleeson went head to head with Matt Harrop.

The match began in what seemed like a shootout with both sides forward lines looking threatening.

Luke Kirkland goaled early for the visitors and looked threatening all day in his match up with Jarrod Kemp.
