SWAN Hill remains on the bottom of the Pool 2 ladder of the Bendigo Amateur Soccer League’s Youth League Cup, after a 6-2 loss on Sunday.
The Swans fronted up to Golden City at Ken Harrison Sporting Complex but were no match for their southern counterparts, despite goals to Jesse Turner and Asghar Awaz Ali.
Colts United leads the pool with four wins from four games, with Colden City second with three wins. Spring Gully has one win.
It was better news in the Division 2 game, with the Swans getting up 4-0 over City. Kyle Smith found the back of the net twice, while Jim Degregorio and Simon Makur managed singles for the home side. It was Swan Hill’s first win in Pool 2 of the competition, with Spring Gully on top of the ladder with three wins from four games.
Round 5 of the six-round League Cup will be played on Sunday, with the Swans travelling to Strathfieldsaye to take on Colts United.
The next round of the Championship is on August 9.
