AN application for an egg processing plant at Tyntynder South is on ice as the Swan Hill Rural City Council awaits further information from the applicant about the management of the proposed $1.85 million development.
The planning permit application for the 45,000 chicken farm, lodged by Fisher Planning on behalf of Melbourne businessman Huy Pham, was sent to four referral agencies in June — the Environmental Protection Agency, VicRoads, Goulburn Murray Water and North Central Catchment Management Authority.
Some of these bodies have now called for Mr Pham to provide more details about how he plans to manage the farm, particularly in regards to water quality and waste management.
Meanwhile, the council has received 38 formal objections to the application from nearby residents.
