Used needles found around town

ABANDONED needles are causing concern among the Swan Hill community once again after several discoveries in parks and on footpaths.

Several users of a local community Facebook group, including mother Deborah Pyatt and grandmother Donna Purcell, have shared their grisly finds online in recent weeks.

Ms Pyatt said her six-yearold son came across a needle, full of an unknown substance, near the channel on Harrison Crescent “There’s a walking track where people walk all the time, and it was just full, we didn’t know what was in it,” she said.

Meanwhile, Donna Purcell her grandchildren came across an unused needle, still in its wrapper, near a childcare centre on Pritchard Street.
