Nyah West link to Boundary Bend body

POLICE have found a car they believe could have been used to dump the body of 47-year-old Malaysian man Ewe Leong Lim at a toilet block at Boundary Bend in September.

Mr Lim died of a treatable medical condition, but police believe the death did not occur at the toilet block on Murray Valley Highway where he was found by a contract cleaner between 8.30am and 9am on September 18.

Investigators still do not know what the man, who was in Australia on a six-month visa which expired in February, was doing in the area and the investgiation is focused on uncovering who allegedly placed his body at the toilet block.

A breakthrough came recently when a car found abandoned in Nyah West, about half an hour’s drive south-west of Boundary Bend, was linked to him.

Police will not say who the registered owner of the car was, what kind of car it was, or exactly where they found it.

But they have revealed they plan to question the owner.

The lead investigator on the case, Robinvale police Detective Senior Constable Matt Pascoe, said more than a dozen people had assisted police with inquires, but none of them knew Mr Lim personally.
