A DOWNPOUR of almost 14mm in Swan Hill on Monday pushed the rainfall for the month to date past the May total average.
Monday morning’s cloudburst followed lighter rainfall on Sunday, after the heavens-opening of 7.4mm in the early hours of May 1 began a wetter than usual month.
A total of 26mm fell in the first nine days alone — more than the average rainfall for May of 24.8mm.
Some drizzle continued yesterday, with 0.4mm falling to 2.30pm.
There is a small chance of some rain today, but Swan Hill residents can then put their umbrellas away for the time being, with no more wet weather expected until at least mid-next week.
