ORGANISERS praised the crowd at the Murray Downs Golf and Country Club Swan Hill racing carnival as thousands of racegoers converged on the region for the long weekend.
Murray Mallee Racing chief executive Aaron Garvie said the carnival was a success, with the good behaviour of the 5000-strong crowd at yesterday’s cup races a positive note.
Mr Garvie said about 2000 people had attended the Swan Hill racecourse on Friday and Saturday.
“The event has been fantastic on the field and it has been really great. There are no problems on the track, the crowd has been behaved and we have had a great weekend,” he said.
