Flyers qualify for historic home final

Swan Hill will host its first Country Basketball League (CBL) finals match since their return to the competition, a stark turnaround for the club which finished second-last in 2015-16.

The Flyers have taken many by surprise during their 2016-17 to finish in third spot in the North East Conference, beating most sides along their way.

But what makes this clash so interesting is the fact the Shepparton Lady Gators are yet to play in 2017.

Sunday’s away side has not turned out, cramming in their fixtures, and finishing in sixth spot overall.

The last time these two sides took each other on was in the opening round of the tournament on October 16 in Swan Hill, a night where the Flyers thumped the Gators 75-58.
