SWAN Hill Speedway president Clive Patullock has slammed the burglary of a defibrillator from the club rooms as the "lowest of low acts".
Heartless offenders stole more than $24,000 worth of equipment from the Swan Hill Speedway at Chisholm Reserve in the last weekend of October.
Mr Patullock said the club had lost equipment vital to its next race meet, but "most cruel" was the loss of the club's defibrillator, acquired just over a month ago.
Swan Hill police said offenders gained access to the Swan Hill Speedway clubrooms between midnight on October 26 and 10am on October 28.
Offenders allegedly accessed the main shed and a small tool shed, ransacking the cupboards and store rooms.
Once inside, police said burglars stole 24 handheld radios valued at $600, 30 Mylap transponders valued at $5000 and a 50-inch television.
Police said various maintenance items were reported stolen from the toolshed including a push lawn mower, brush cutter a tyre pressure gauge.
It is believed the burglars gained entry to the main shed through a window.
