THIS week is National Science Week and Swan Hill Primary School has been hard at work developing science among students at an early age.
The school prides itself on a unique science program that offers students a chance to explore and solve problems in a fun and supportive environment.
Last week the school held its Family Science Night and the staff were delighted by the number of families who attended.
This was the first of the usually triennial event held for several years due to COVID restrictions.
Students brought parents and carers along to share with them their favourite activities.
Science specialist Penee Laughlin, a former high-school science teacher, said she loved the interaction that kids have when taking part the science activities.
The program aims to foster a greater interest in science at primary school level.
