The Gallery Balranald what’s on

THERE are lots of exciting and fun events coming up at the The Gallery in Balranald. Here are a few events and workshops to add to the calendar. The Art of Football

THIS is an exhibition presented by The Gallery Balranald which fuses Aussie Rules football and art in a unique combination of works across multiple mediums all sharing in the celebration of Australia’s love of football. The exhibition will also feature a display of memorabilia and images of the earlier years of the Balranald Football Club.

The opening coincides with the first match of the year on Saturday, April 2 & continues until May 14.

Don’t miss this unique presentation!Silence of the Plains

A SOLO exhibition by Griffith artist Rhonda Miranda opens at the Balranald Gallery on Friday, April 8 at 2pm.

Rhonda’s oil paintings invite the viewer to discover the sublime beauty, stillness and tranquility of the Australian outback rural plains and waterways.

Born and having lived in Griffith most of her life Rhonda describes herself as a person of the plains. She attended lessons with fellow artists under the tutelage of Lance McNeill at ‘Abbotsford’ Ivanhoe for many years and became part of the group The Painters Of The Plains. Thanks to the generosity of the Turner family, the old homestead became a retreat for many artists for over 30 years and in this exhibition Rhonda, through her own compositions and expression, portrays a glimpse into a serene world of plains and waterways.

Meet the artist at The Gallery, 51 Mayall Street, Balranald from 2pm-4.30pm Friday, April 8 or 10am-12pm Saturday, April 9.Paint along with Raylene
