An elderly man has been left shaken after an armed intruder stormed his way into the rear of his unit in Swan Hill early Monday.
Swan Hill crime investigation unit Detective Senior Constable Adrian Gordon said the male intruder, disguised in a balaclava, forced entry into the Randell Street address at the Old Folks Home about 7am.
“The man, who was armed with a weapon, stole an iPad, but he intended to take money,” Det Snr-Const Gordon said.
It’s understood another man was waiting outside during the brazen incident.
The 73-year-old victim was uninjured.
No arrests have been made.
