Buses to replace trains due to rail work

V/Line is due to begin extensive works on the Bendigo, Swan Hill and Echuca lines from Tuesday October 4th to Sunday October 30th. 

During this time, coaches will replace trains for the entire journey between Southern Cross Station and Bendigo, Swan Hill and Echuca.

V/Line is instructing travellers to allow up to 60 minutes extra travel time for their journeys.

$46 million will spent on several projects, including replacing sleepers and ballast as well as renewing rail bridges along the line.

During the works, construction noise and additional lighting will be present at some locations along the line and some roads will also be closed for stages while we renew level crossings.

V/Line advises all travellers to check temporary timetables before you travel for a service that suits you.
