Soccer club seeks funding to secure its future

SWAN Hill Soccer Club says it is looking for funding in a bid to stop people who want to participate in the sport being priced out of the market.

The club, which reached the grand final of the Bendigo Amateur Soccer League youth division last year, say they are looking for funding for a new set of goals which would stop the need to push the cost onto player membership fees.

Swan Hill Soccer Club assistant coach and player Wiseman Sibanda said the goals would cost in the region of $10,000 to $13,000, but they are a requirement to bring the club up to health and safety regulations.
