Letter: More funds for MRI

A HUGE thanks to the people of Swan Hill and surrounds for supporting the Swan Hill District Health Open Garden Day on Sunday, October 20.

The four open gardens were Swan Hill Village, Jill and Alec Martin, Alison and Trevor Lewin and Maxine and Kevin Sleep’s Alpaca Farm and all were well attended and raised approximately $1000 each.

Special thanks to the kitchen staff at Swan Hill District Health for their wonderful baking.

Afternoon tea and plants, plus resident’s plant sales from Swan Hill Village, further boosted the day’s takings to $7784.

All of these funds will go to the growing donations for the MRI machine.

It takes many people to organise such an event and we are extremely grateful to the owners of the gardens, our volunteers and the various businesses who donated goods and helped support the overall success of the day.

These included Andrew Peace Wines, Rhimaden Nursery, Kibworth Park Alpacas, Blue Sky, Silly Solleys and The Guardian. Thank you.

See you all next year!

Gloria McKerrow
