Tim Pleasance hasn’t had a haircut for eight years.
However, that is set to change after he signed up to take part in the World’s Greatest Shave.
He will undergo a massive transformation as he prepares to shave off his beloved dreadlocks for the worthy cause.
Tim said he wanted to raise money to give families facing blood cancer the emotional and practical support they needed.
“My goal is set at $10,000 at the moment, but I don’t think I’ll have any trouble reaching that,” he said.
While this year’s event is fast approaching, Tim isn’t ready to say goodbye to his dreadlocks just yet.
He will take part in the event next year, to allow enough time to reach his fundraising target.
Already, Tim’s fundraising is off to a good start and he has raised $937 in less than a week.
He has been growing the dreadlocks for eight years.
His sole purpose was to grow them so he could raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.
