Maybe the GRFL and CMFNL are the only leagues that care about their junior’s safety.
I bet there is not one mother out there that agrees with the dribble in your [letter]. Lose the caveman macho attitude and think of our kid’s safety for a change.
Just because you didn’t wear a helmet as a kid, are you willing to take the risk of your kids and others being hit in the head, possibly brain damage for the rest of his life? I hope not.
Just weeks ago my grandson took a nasty blow to the side of his face. Luckily for him his helmet took most of the force.
He was a lucky one, I don’t even like football but believe all kids, and even U17s should wear head protection. After that they can make up their own minds.
In cricket protection is worn, so I guess to you guys it’s alright to be brain damaged, as long as the family jewels are safe.
Helmets may not be cool, but if it saves just one child from injury then they are worth wearing.
If some fathers of these footballers won’t protect their kids, looks like the mothers will have to step up.
With opinions like yours, maybe you have had one too many hits in the head yourself.
