A car and school bus collided on the Murray Valley Highway at Vinifera yesterday afternoon.
One child, a passenger on the school bus, was taken to hospital with a sore neck.
The child has since been released from hospital.
Senior Constable Jeff Saville of highway patrol said the accident was caused by misjudgement.
“The rear vehicle estimated there was enough room between the front vehicle and the bus to overtake the bus, she has gone out there and the bus is heading towards her,” Snr Const Saville said.
“The bus has slowed and therefore that estimated overtaking gap has disappeared and she had nowhere to go, the bus turned right in front of her and has hit the side of her vehicle.”
