Central Murray Netball – The Run Home Round 16

1st – Mallee Eagles

Played – 13, Wins – 13, Losses – 0, Points – 52, Percentage – 148.23

Round 16 – v Cohuna Kangas @ Away

Round 17 – v Balranald @ Home

Round 18 – v Tyntynder @ Away

WILL finish on top of the ladder and deservingly so after a dominant 2025 campaign. Will finish the season with winnable games against Cohuna, Balranald and Tyntynder and are considered red-hot favourites to hit this years finals undefeated.

2nd – Kerang

Played – 14, Wins – 11, Losses – 3, Points – 44, Percentage – 125.96

Round 16 – Bye

Round 17 – v Cohuna Kangas @ Home

Round 18 – v Balranald @ Away

ARE beginning to make a habit out of close finishes, with the Blues overcoming a dogged Tooleybuc-Manangatang late last weekend. Although the Blues keep winning the four points, the close results aren’t helping their percentage, which could become very important when it comes to finishing top three.

3rd – Woorinen

Played – 14, Wins – 11, Losses – 3, Points – 44, Percentage – 120.99

Round 16 – Bye

Round 17 – v Lake Boga @ Away

Round 18 – v Tooleybuc-Manangatang @ Home

ARE locked in a race to the finish with Kerang and Koondrook-Barham for the double chance, with the bye coming at the worst possible time on Saturday. Will start favourites against Lake Boga next weekend, but will face a difficult battle against Tooleybuc-Manangatang in the final match of the home-and-away season.

4th – Koondrook-Barham

Played – 13, Wins – 10, Losses – 3, Points – 40, Percentage – 125.55

Round 16 – v Lake Boga @ Home

Round 17 – v Tooleybuc-Manangatang @ Away

Round 18 – v Swan Hill @ Home

ARE four points behind Kerang and Woorinen in the battle for a top three finish, but have a game in hand and are well and truly in the hunt. A win against Lake Boga on Saturday will see the Raiders climb back into third – and potentially second – and would only need to beat the Saints and Swans to stay there from then on.

5th – Tooleybuc-Manangatang

Played – 13, Wins – 6, Losses – 7, Points – 24, Percentage – 104.24

Round 16 – v Swan Hill @ Away

Round 17 – v Koondrook-Barham @ Home

Round 18 – v Woorinen @ Away

IT’S a tough run home for Tooleybuc-Manangatang, who will need to beat at least Swan Hill on Saturday to give themselves a shot at finishing top five. Still have winnable games against Koondrook-Barham and Woorinen on the run home, although they wouldn’t want to be relying on winning either of those fixtures in order to play finals.

6th – Cohuna Kangas

Played – 13, Wins – 6, Losses – 7, Points – 24, Percentage – 100.69

Round 16 – v Mallee Eagles @ Home

Round 17 – v Kerang @ Away

Round 18 – v Lake Boga @ Home

FACE the toughest test in Central Murray netball on Saturday, with the Kangas hosting ladder leaders the Mallee Eagles. Will most likely need to beat one of the Eagles or Kerang to climb above the Saints in the fight for fifth spot.

7th – Swan Hill

Played – 14, Wins – 6, Losses – 8, Points – 24, Percentage – 91.54

Round 16 – v Tooleybuc-Manangatang @ Home

Round 17 – Bye

Round 18 – v Koondrook-Barham @ Away

PERENNIAL finalists Swan Hill dropped fifth to sixth last weekend and a loss to Tooleybuc-Manangatang on Saturday could spell the end for their finals hopes entirely. Their poor percentage means they are affectively a game behind both the Saints and Kangas who are ahead of them on the same points. Next weekend’s bye couldn’t possibly have come at a worse time.

8th – Balranald

Played – 13, Wins – 4, Losses – 8, Draw – 1, Points – 18, Percentage – 83.41

Round 16 – v NNW United @ Home

Round 17 – v Mallee Eagles @ Away

Round 18 – v Kerang @ Home

HARD to believe that a team with only four and a half wins for the season can still be in the running to play finals this late in the season, but the Roos are mathematically still a chance. Should beat NNW United on Saturday, but would then need to beat the undefeated Mallee Eagles and second placed Kerang over the final two rounds to remain in the hunt, as well as rely on other results falling their way. Won’t happen.
