Deception

SWAN Hill detectives are investigating a party that convinced a victim to transfer a total of more than $140,000 from her account in early July.

She was contacted via phone multiple times, with the offenders claiming to be from the bank.

The destination bank account number was provided by them over several days.


Costly Sunday cruise

A P-plater will face court after being caught excessively speeding in Kerang on July 20.

The driver was caught travelling 157km/h in a 100km/h zone.

The vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1335.

The driver will be summonsed to appear at court at a later date for driving offences.


Green thumbs… down

POLICE are investigating an alleged theft of plants in Sea Lake.

The victim saw a man loading plants from his property into a vehicle about 5pm on July 18.

The victim stopped the man from taking the plants.


Theft

AN angle grinder, rattle gun and radio were stolen from a property on Mawsons Road, Cohuna, between 2pm and 2.15pm on July 14.


Damage

A WOMAN has been identified as being responsible for damage to windows at the Kerang Magistrates’ Court about 5.30pm on July 18.

She was yet to be interviewed by police.
