Have A Goes are outgunned

THE RSL Gunners and the RSL Have A Goes fought it out at their mutual home venue on Wednesday, when the Have A Goes finished on top with a 7-2 win.

The Gunners managed to win one of their doubles games and also the teams game for the night, but struggled in their other matches despite the Have A Goes’ lacklustre evening.

Let’s Get Pegged hosted the Ultima Bullchuckers at the Swan Hill Club, where the home side managed to get off to a flying start by winning all four of the teams games.

The minimum five games for the win came in the first singles match for Let’s Get Pegged, with the Bullchuckers winning the remaining three singles matches and the teams event to add some credibility to the final score, going down 5-4.

Rhiannon Glare once again led the ladies with an impressive peg of 3/119 to win her second doubles game.

At the Tooleybuc Hotel, the Tooley Tigers got off to a flyer against the SHC Blazers by winning all four doubles games and taking a 4-0 lead.

With the Blazers securing a win in the first singles match to claim overall victory, the Tigers then fought back to win the next two singles matches and the teams event.

The Blazers came out on top 6-3.

Holden Ward won his first game of doubles on the night with a very impressive peg of 3/106, with the highest score for the women being a 134 from Sophie Williams of the Blazers.

No 180s were thrown on the night, and despite 48 scores of 100+ thrown, only three players managed to throw a 140.
