SWAN HILL

FRIDAY Frolic will be back in its normal time slot of 3pm this Friday, with names having to be entered before 2.30pm to be sure of a game.

Please ring the Swan Hill Bowls Club on 5032 1772 or arrive early to enter and have a roll up prior to playing.

Entry fee is $5, with bowls available for beginners to give the game a try as all are welcome to enter this social event.

The jackpot would be a bonus for a team with the lucky number, which will be drawn after the game.

Our club’s new The Bridge tournament attracted 30 players last Friday, with visitors from Lake Boga, Moulamein, Murray Downs and Racecourse all welcomed, along with Swan Hill players.

The winners were the combined team from Racecourse and Murray Downs, which was skippered by Ron Wolfe and supported by Glen McIntosh and Kerry Jenkins.

Second prize went to Swan Hill bowlers Barrie and Judy Husson and Stuart Tompsett.

Hot snacks and drinks and happy hour drinks awaited players in the clubhouse after the game, as did Mick’s highly sought after raffle prizes.

The in-clubhouse activities take place every Friday and we encourage those who are not bowling to come along and join in the social activities.

The Swan Hill Bowls Clubs Classic On The Murray tournament will be held on Saturday, August 9 and Sunday, August 10 and is only four weeks away, with entries already coming in.

Be sure to not miss out by contacting M. Balchin on 0428 553 913 with your team for the two bowl triples event with good prize money on offer.

Swan Hill bowlers please note that annual membership subscriptions for season 2025-26 can now be paid at the bar.
