Council support offered to businesses

LOCAL businesses and individuals can access support services and resources through Swan Hill Rural City Council’s business support team when looking to start, acquire or expand a business within the municipality.

Council director of development and planning Michelle Grainger explained council’s commitment to supporting local business growth.

“Our region is growing and council wants to do everything it can to support local businesses within the municipality,” Ms Grainger said.

“We encourage residents to reach out to council when they are ready to take the next step in their business journey.

“Council aims to provide a streamlined process that guides business owners through each step.

“To get started, individuals simply fill out a business questionnaire, and once submitted, they will be connected with the right people to help them with matters such as permits, local laws and ways to access funding, training and networking opportunities.”

Interested people are encouraged to subscribe to the regular e-newsletter to keep updated on the latest business news, workshops, events and grants.

Other online services and resources are also available.
