The one-stop shop for skincare and cosmetics

THE team at The Beauty Spot has the tools, knowledge and experience to keep your skin glowing, even in the brisk winter weather.

Owner Christine Ewart opened The Beauty Spot 14 years ago with the mission to empower women and help them gain confidence through delivering transformative skin and beauty treatments.

“I wanted to create a beautiful space where women could come and indulge in self-care and provide them a really quality service,” she said.

The skin and beauty clinic have the experience, advanced technology and methods to have their clients’ skin looking and feeling its best.

With a priority for pampering and self-care, the day spa is ready to provide results-driven treatments, infused with relaxation, in a luxurious and tranquil space.

Ms Ewart prioritises growth and education for herself and her team, always upskilling to give her clients the best experience and keep up with the latest technology and knowledge.

The Beauty Spot is a one-stop shop for all cosmetic and skincare needs, including lash and brow enhancements, laser hair removal, tanning and makeup services.

Along with a wide range of in-clinic services, The Beauty Spot stocks a curation of skincare and makeup products to maintain healthy, glowing skin.

The full list of services and bookings are available online at thebeautyspotsh.com.

Winter Skincare Tips

Winter is blowing in and cool winds can compromise your skin barrier, so Ms Ewart recommends focusing on hydration by adding these steps to your beauty regimen.

– Omega supplements: Think of this as your moisturiser from within. Essential fatty acids will support the skin barrier and help lock in hydration, which is very important.

– Incorporate hyaluronic acid: This acid holds 1000 times in weight in water, so it is a very hydrating ingredient to have in your skincare. This also allows your other skincare products to work more effectively.

– Treat your skin at home to an Image Skincare Hydrogel sheet mask – full of hyaluronic acid, doing this mask once a week and especially before an event will leave your skin glowing, help smooth fine lines and help with breakouts.

Product recommendation

Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics

“This is clean, clinical grade mineral makeup gives flawless coverage while also protecting and nourishing your skin,” Christine said. “Think of it like your last step in skincare.

“My top pick for the races is the Hi-Def Setting Powder, it will help your makeup look stay photo-ready all day, locking in moisture and keeping makeup on for a beautiful finish for all skin types and conditions.”

The Beauty Spot stocks the full range, and the team can colour-match to your skin tone so you look your best on Race Day.
